Rachel Tan is the Producer of the film “Worth The Wait,” an ensemble romantic comedy currently in post-production with an all-star all Asian cast featuring Lana Condor (Netflix’s “To All The Boys” franchise), Andrew Koji (“Bullet Train” and Max’s “Warrior”), Ross Butler (“Shazam” franchise), Sung Kang (“Fast and The Furious” franchise), Elodie Yung (Fox’s “The Cleaning Lady”), Karena Lam (multiple Golden Horse award winning actress), and directed by Golden Horse Award winning director Tom Lin from Taiwan in his U.S. film debut.
Recently, Rachel is also Co-Producer of the feature “Sight” starring Oscar Award Nominee Greg Kinnear (“Little Miss Sunshine”) and Terry Chen (“House of Cards”), which was released on 2100+ theaters nationwide by Angel Studios on May 24, 2024.
Rachel was also Producer of Korean co-production fantasy film “Heavenquest: A Pilgrim’s Progress” starring South Korean legend Cha In Pyo and beloved Mexican actress Karyme Lozano, which was awarded one of the “12 Best Christian Movies of 2019” by Crosswalk.com and released as a Vudu exclusive in 2020.
Rachel is also an experienced entertainment lawyer. She graduated with a Master of Law (LL.M) with honors from the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom. She is a member of the California and New York state bars, and is also certified to practice in Hong Kong. Rachel is co-founder and partner of entertainment law firm Mark and Tan PC based in Los Angeles, which specializes in digital influencer law.
Rachel is a former Miss Malaysia and was the first Malaysian to ever win an international pageant when she won TVB’s prestigious Miss Chinese International competition. She has acted in nationally broadcast television dramas and hosted live television shows in front of audiences in the millions on leading television networks TVB in Hong Kong and Astro in Malaysia. She has acted in a number of feature films and was signed by Jackie Chan Group, Jackie Chan’s production company in Hong Kong, where she was talent and part of the production team for many films and television series.
